Serving with AmeriCorps was an invaluable and unforgettable experience which left an indelible impact on my future career trajectory. It gave me the opportunity to harness my passion and enthusiasm for helping others make a real difference in the Pittsburgh community. Working with at-risk youth in underserved communities also gave me a great deal of perspective and a more thorough understanding of the difficulties that many families, and our society at large, face. I look back on my time with AmeriCorps fondly-it was a transformative and fulfilling experience for me both personally and professionally.
